Established in 2006, Sisters Network® Inc. Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP) is a national financial assistance and mammogram program. Financial assistance is provided to any breast cancer survivor in active treatment. We also provide 3-D Mammogram support to women who are uninsured through our partnerships with leading mammography screening facilities.

 

In 2022, the Breast Cancer Assistance Program was renamed the Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program in recognition and honor of the Founder’s legacy in the fight against breast cancer in the African American community. 

  

Since its inception, BCAP has provided over $1.5 million dollars in financial assistance to breast cancer survivors and mammogram/ultrasound support to uninsured women. 

 

BCAP is open two times (Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter) per year contingent on funding.  

 

Financial Assistance Qualifications: 

 

Qualifying applicants can receive up to $350 in financial assistance for the following: 

  • Utilities: Electric, Gas, Water  
  • Housing: Rent or Mortgage  

  • Due to limited funds, the following are Not Eligible: 

    Medical co-pays, Sleeves, Cable, Cell Phone, Transportation


Required Documentation: 

  • Current utility bill, mortgage statement or full copy of lease agreement (applicant name must be listed)
    • Please submit only one bill
  • Copy of current treatment plan (on letterhead, signed and dated) verifying diagnosis and detailing treatment plan from one of the following: (Oncologist, Licensed Social Worker, Nurse Navigator or Patient Navigator)

 

Application Submission Process:

(Note: Incomplete applications or applications that are not scanned will not be reviewed) NO photographs accepted. 

 

Notification: Please allow 30-45 days for review and decision notification.

 

Payment: All payments will be mailed directly to the third-party provider. No payments will be sent to applicants.
